Food testing is an increasing part of our analytical repertoire. In addition to wash waters from dairy waste, grease traps and process effluents, we also offer a range of food product and environmental testing. We are accredited to the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard for microbiological contaminants such as e.coli, listeria, staphylococcus and salmonella, aerobic plate counts, and yeast and mold.
We provide our clients with kits and supplies for poultry rinses, carcass swabs and environmental swabs. These requests must be made in advance, and we ask that all food micro samples be pre-scheduled with our microbiologists to ensure proper staffing and media preparation.
In addition to microbiological components, we also offer chemical analyses in food product. We can provide protein content, and test for analytes such as sodium and chloride. We can also perform analyses for lead in maple syrup.
Please contact the lab to discuss your testing needs, and how we can help you with them.
